Job Summary

The Senior IT Operations Engineer leads the operations of virtualized infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security for systems across global data centers and branch locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or similar virtualization platforms.
  • Deploy, configure, and optimize VMs, resource pools, and snapshots.
  • Monitor system performance and respond to Level 2 escalations.
  • Support global infrastructure and ensure consistent standards.
  • Coordinate integrations across compute, storage, and network layers.
  • Maintain documentation of assets and configurations.
  • Automate administrative tasks using scripts and orchestration tools.
  • Participate in DR planning, hardware refreshes, and cloud integration projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations with a strong emphasis on virtualization.
  • Hands-on experience managing VMware virtualization environments (vSphere / ESXi / vCenter)
  • Strong knowledge of resource allocation, performance tuning and incident management.

Preferred Skills

  • VMware VCP-DCV
  • Azure Administrator
  • Citrix certifications
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash)

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation discipline.
