Job Summary

The SAP ABAP Developer Expert contributes to SAP implementation, development, and customization across SAP modules. The role supports business processes and aligns SAP best practices with organizational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform ABAP development across various SAP modules (SD, CS, MM, FI).
  • Work on reports, module pool programming, ALE/IDOCs, RFCs, Web Services, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms.
  • Conduct reverse engineering of SAP systems to analyze existing customizations.
  • Support SAP Fiori/UI5 app development and OData integration.
  • Apply performance tuning and ensure HANA code compliance.
  • Support integrations across SAP and non-SAP systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on ABAP development experience, including the ability to analyze and reverse-engineer complex SAP systems.
  • Strong experience in core ABAP areas: ALE/IDocs, ALV and classical reporting, BDC and Module Pool programming, User Exits, BADIs, and enhancement frameworks, and ABAP Data Dictionary.
  • Solid understanding of integration and interface development, including RFCs, Web Services, and ABAP development aligned with SD, CS, MM, and FI modules.
  • Proven experience in SAP Fiori/UI5 development (SAPUI5, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS).
  • Backend development capabilities for Fiori applications, including: OData services, CDS Views, AMDP, RAP/CAP models, Fiori Launchpad configuration
  • Exposure to S/4HANA and SAP BTP, including ABAP on HANA, CAP development, BTP extensions, and service integration.

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of SAP Best Practices and module integration concepts.
  • Awareness of emerging SAP innovations and technologies.
  • Experience in E2E SAP implementations and SAP–non-SAP integration projects.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with global teams across multiple time zones.
